I'm 18 and in college but I used to play Baseball at my High School. I may play for a rec team this year since it will be the last year I will be able to because of my age.

I have played basketball for practically my whole life. From 4yrs old to 17yrs old I played for my city team. (Different age levels each time, of course) From Grade 7-9 I played for my Junior High Team. From Grade 10-12 I played for my High School Team. 4yrs I played University Ball. 3yrs for the Provincial Team. I just finished with the Gentleman's Winter league and I signed up for the Spring league that starts in 2 weeks. So as you can see I like basketball.

I participate in the following:
1. Basketball-Oct. thru March-I'm a freak like CandyKANE for B-Ball -despite 3 arthroscopys on my knees from wear and tear
2. Tennis-April thru Sept. -play in USTA sanctioned tournaments and with the local collegiate team (They are top 10 Div. III)
3. Baseball-June thru Oct. -over 35 league
4. Strength Training-year round
5. Whatever my son (11) wants to do I attempt to do it with him (I've tried skateboarding, surfing, snow boarding, and some other crazy shit-he knows I'll do anything he wants to try).
Previously I played baseball in college and could have played basketball.
I know this is a lot of stuff for a 43+ year old person, but I'm easily bored.

I've had orthroscopic knee surgery on my left knee twice and I have broken my right ankle twice. I'm not the same as I used to be, but I'm gonna keep playing B'ball until my body won't let me. Listen to me, I'm talking like I'm about 60 years old or something, I just turned 24 for christ sakes!

CandyKANE-I hate to tell you this but it gets worse. I had my first 2 "scopes when I was 25. No injury, just worn down cartilage from all the sports, especially basketball. I've been fortunate not to have any broken bones but the ache from the arthritis in my knees is constant. However, the more I do the less it hurts (notice I didn't say the less it aches).
But you're a spring chicken....so keep on hoopin"...

Cheers virginiaron! I'm gonna play as long as I can. My 2 surgeries on my knee weren't injuries either it was loose cartilage both times. Well if I eventually can't play I can still watch my beloved Bulls develop back into a Playoff caliber team. First step, get rid of Fat ass Jerry Krause! He ruined the Bulls!

You don't even want to get me started on Krause. That ugly, no 'count Muthaf_ _ _ er broke up the best modern dynasty in sports and caused MJ to prematurely retire (again!)...so he's on my shit list. As long as he's there (and maybe even Reinsdorf too because he was stupid enough to let that troll do what he did) my formerly beloved Bulls are no more! By the way I thought Krause could have played a troll on "Lord of the Rings"....without makeup!

I'm 18, and I play Midget AA hockey here in Calgary. I also played Basketball in grade 9,10, but I quit that to pursue hockey. I also want to be a wrestler when i'm older.
