I enjoyed it! I've been a Spider Man fan forever! The storyline was good and it kept with the original story but there were some mishaps!!
In my opinion, Spidey wasn't that much of a smart-ass, and I missed that. I thought that they should have stayed with the web-cartridges then what they had in the script.
As for Mary Jane, I think she stole the movie! Dunst was great and nailed the character! I like Dafoe, but using the helmat as the face of the Green Goblin didn't do it for me. I will see the movie again!
Maguire was a great Peter Parker, but I'm not sure about the role of Spider-Man though! I'm a Spider man loyalist and maybe to a fault. I enjoyed it, and I think it will do better the Star Wars.
Trivia: In the movie, some future bad guy's were mentioned by their alter ego's names. Can you name them?

I loved it!! I thought it was awesome.. I was one of the lucky few who got to see it on thursday thanks to a local radio staion giveaway.. The place was packed, and they gave more tickets than they had seats for, so a lot of people were pissed when they didn't get in..
But I completely agree with Smack as far as Dunst goes, I generally don't like her but she was awesome.. I thought Tobey McGuire would suck, but he was great.. Willem Dafoe is always pretty awesome.. I am definately going to see it again..

Man this movie was great, I have been a spidey fan forever. the whole movie stuck to the story with a few changes. The actor that played J.J. did a great job. Dunst was a perfect mary jane. I think Green Goblin 2 (Harry Osborn) will be in the 2nd film. But im want to see venom and carnage in 2. I just watched spidey and thought it was an OK movie the fight seens were good but the intro was to long. Now ne spiderman fan would say they loved the movie, but what is a spiderman movie without Carnage, and venom. Im hopin there in num 2. And just a side note I think Hulk is gonna put this movie to shame.

Yeah, because the HULK is so huge in the C-books, THE HULK will be CGI.
In the Spider-man movie, Eddie Brock-Venom-was refrenced! JJJ metioned his name as Peter was inhis office discussing the free-lance journalism job. A clear sign that Venom will be coming soon.

I've never been a Spiderman fan, and I wasn't all that enthusiastic about seeing it. But i went today, and jesus christ, that was a good movie. Great acting, superb special effects. The length of the movie was just great. The two previous movies i'd been bothered to go see were Scorpion King and Lord of the Rings. Scorpion King was a little short, and Lord of the Rings was very, very long. I look forward to the sequel
