The general consensus among most backstage in WWE was that the Scott Steiner vs. Triple H match was a let down. Many expected an average match at best, but were pretty upset with how the match turned out.
Chris Jericho suffered a pretty nasty knot between his eyes as a result of a kendo stick to the face from Tommy Dreamer. Was said to have swollen up pretty bad after putting ice on it, and was bleeding a bit as anyone with two eyes could see during the pay-per view.
As best I can tell, HBK's elimination from the Royal Rumble was no mistake. A lot of readers felt Michaels was trying to hang on when he was tossed over the top within the first five minutes of the match. Michaels expressed interest in not working until WrestleMania after his match with Triple H at Armageddon, but was sold on working the Rumble since 29 others could carry the workload. Looks as though that was the reason HBK agreed to do the match.
Despite claiming it would be 90 seconds in between entires at last night's Royal Rumble, several readers sent word that they kept track and towards the end new people were coming in every 20-35 seconds. Originally, the plan was to have new entires every 30 seconds, but was changed on the fly during the show to 90 seconds, even though for the most part they never went through with it.
