here are talks that the format of the 2003 Royal Rumble will be tweaked somehow to reflect the brand extension.
There was a plan to have the Rumble in two rings, somewhat similar to the old WCW World War 3 gimmick. However, that idea was rejected, presumably by Vince McMahon.
Retaining the original formula of Royal Rumble seems to be a possibility at this point as well, with Raw and Smackdown branded wrestlers each making up 15 of the 30 entrants.
Nothing has been decided about the format of the Rumble, and it could change many times between now and the PPV in January.

There's lots of stuff they can do. Maybe they should have two separate Rumbles with 15 guys in each one.

I hope they don't change the format. I think what they will do is have 15 RAW superstars enter & 15 SmackDown superstars enter and if a RAW wrestler wins he faces the World Champion at WrestleMania. If a SmackDown superstar wins the rumble then he faces the wwe Champion at Wrestlemania.

I prefer the old format. I just hope that WWE dosen't change everything too much!

As of now, there have been no decisions made for the Royal Rumble match. Obviously, with the roster split and two heavyweight titles, the traditional rule of having the single winner face the WWE champion at WrestleMania would not fully work without new stipulations. We will keep you posted on any decisions, as soon as they are made and available.

i think they will have 15 from raw, 15 from smackdown and the winner gets a shot at the title from there show at Westlemania
so i think it will be Brock winning against the big show at the RR for the title and the actual RR, go down to a raw star vs smackdown star and the winner will be my olympic hero, Kurt Angle

I've just realized, if Kurt wins in Rumble, he will be the 2nd ever person to win the grand slam and win both the Rumble and King of the Ring.
As you know, Triple H was the 1st after winning the Rumble back in January.
