To get this clear througout the EWA, fighting is nothing, just because the other guy agrees with it, it doesnt matter, fighting doesnt make the promo, what you say as your wrestler helps you, I personally think that this efed and others would be better without fighting, it doesnt make a difference, fighting in promos is getting lower and lower here, go with the verbal plan of attack, be smart about it, dont be a jackass and beat the shit out of your opponent, wait till you gety your match.

contradiction - last eyar i was very successful as non-fighter-in-promo. and this is indeed one of few efeds that still have fighting! however, ive come to like this fighting lark when its clever. the old 'put him thru a table' or cowardly attack with no words, ' ultimate torture that apparently is impossible to come back from (hi hardrock!) is shit and is just a power thing that sad people try to do when they cant wirte. however, dunno bout u, but i loved the golf course battering its true doelievered sumtime ago, and when origianlty comes in, and violence is only used to make a point with the words, then its fine. and if we stick to askin first, and co-operating in feuds it can work.
howver, i am still a traditionalist at heart, and if every voted to kick out fighting in promos, then gud, and im up for it, and if my vote for 'good in moderation' is one of few that doesnt vote for banning fighting, then ill galdly switch my vote in preference for change

A promo traditionally has been what a wrestler can do or say to psyche out his opponent. It's a build up to the fight itself, not a preview. Fighting other wrestlers should be banned from promos. However, attacking other people, such as managers, referees etc can be useful, if used carefully, to establish a character as a heel. That's my two cents anyway.

I don't care either way. How can someone write an attack and not a response? It doesn't make sense. I have an "open door policy" on MSD. If you attack, so will I, plain and simple. I'm not emotionaly bound to my character like other's. I know that an attack is not a personal one, or do I carry any self-doubt's. The bottom line, is the challenge. If someone attacks you w/verbals, it make's you strong in your dialog. If your beaten down, it makes you stronger on your storytelling. These are your rules and I'll abide by them, but please, quit with the "farfetched shit". ie., "I was picked by by aliens and I spent a eons learing the craft of Alien Sumo-kate wrestling of the hardcore style. After I excelled and kicked the Aliens world Champion, I was allowed to be beamed back. I decided to beam myself back, behing so&so back and I beat the living shit our of him and left him crippled for life and now breathes through his ass!" or.... "I left him in the desert after a 15 day drive!" Get my point. -OUT-

In my opinion, a well-placed struggle can highlight the tension between two wrestlers. NOT a fight, just a struggle that is quickly broken up.
These should ONLY be used, however, when... 1) Both people agree to it.
2) It ends in such a way as to further the feud. Options for this include... a) Heel jumping a face from behind, or bringing two of his friends along. b) A shoving match, exchanging punches, quickly broken up by refs and other wrestlers. c) The heel running away from the face. d) Or something along these lines.
3) It occurs AFTER both people have written interviews and promos, so that the feud has a solid basis.
4) It is only used occasionally at most. For instance, maybe use it once every three or four weeks, so it doesn't lose its significance. If people use it every week, it loses its meaning. However, used properly, it can be a great addition to a major feud.
