Right after he was electrocuted by Randy Orton & Batista the internet was flowing with rumours that Goldust would return with Tourrete's Syndrome. When I heard this I thought that it was going to be a huge mistake. There would be innundated with hate mail and such if they went through with such a tasteless angle.
Well when I watched it live the first time I thought it was very tasteless. It lacked realism too. I know someone who suffers from this problem and Goldust at the beginning of the interview didn't get any ticks. It ws only half way through the interview. I think they need to work on having more spontaneous ticks if they decide to go on with this angle.
Then I watched it a second time with my wife and I we couldn't help but laugh our asses off at Goldust. He would start to talk and then go: "Hoo Ha!" Watching it a second time made me think that this is just a parody and not to be taken seriously.
I remember Bubba Ray Dudley he used to have a stuttering gimmick, that is an ailment as well and there wasn't any backlash from that. It's just in fun. I think the Goldust angle will work out well for him in the end.
What do you think of this situation?
