In previous years, WWE would allow wrestlers to put in a request for as many tickets as they needed for friends and family to attend a WWE event in a wrestlers hometown.
Recently, WWE began to crack down on ticket comps.
A notable example was recently in San Francisco, where Rikishi requested a large about of complimentary tickets for his extended family. San Francisco is known for the large Samoan contingent there to support whichever wrestler was currently active for WWE.
However, this time, WWE officials did not allow Rikishi to get as many tickets as he needed, and there was a notion in the lockerroom about how management was unfairly taking out the downturn of business on the boys.
