Despite being in a standstill for a good few weeks over the number of dates Goldberg would work, negotiations between Goldberg and WWE have picked up again. In fact, Goldberg is reportedly closer than ever to signing. With WrestleMania just a month away, Goldberg would most likely have to be signed at least by next week if WWE wants to use him on TV to build an angle for WrestleMania.

According to numerous reports, negotiations between Bill Goldberg and WWE has picked up a lot in the past couple of days.
For the first time since both parties began negotiations, concessions have been offered back and forth.
At this point, there is considered to be a good chance that the deal could finally happen.
Goldberg is building a reputation as a last minute negotiator as his last two deals with Japanese organizations were reached literally a day or two before the show he was negotiating to be part of.

Bill Goldberg has still not come to terms to a contract with WWE, however, it could be a matter of hours when we see it happen. For the deal to go through, it is going to take Goldberg or Vince McMahon giving in on some of the issues that they have been stuck on for more than a month. For those of you who have not heard, the major hold up has been Goldberg wanting less dates, with McMahon wanting more. Even if Goldberg does come to terms with WWE before WrestleMania, there is strong doubt that he will be wrestling, due to not having the time to create an appropriate angle for him.
